Is it possible teaching foreign language (English) without the use of mother tongue??
Everything is possible. But I think it must be hard and difficult at the beginning. Just like a mother teach a language to her children. Word for word and sentence by sentence. At the beginning the words or sentences that we spoken are unfamiliar, and the students didn’t understand the meaning. Of course we need a lot of demonstration. Little by little, just like we learn our mother tongue and speak it, over time the students will recognize the words and understand the meaning.

Which is Better, Teacher or Native Speaker

In my opinion, a local teacher has some advantages in learning a foreign language.

1. Local teachers have personal experience in learning the language so that these teachers have the experience and knowledge of how difficult learning a second language.
2. They can share effective strategies to learn the language because they have proved it.
3. They also understand the pressures and stress felt by students because they had also felt the same.
4. Compared with native speakers who can only master one language (the language itself) and have not been able to master another language, local teachers have more value in this. When Some foreign language structures that are too complicated to be explained using the local language and when there are language problems, a local teachers can explain about it if they has sufficient qualifications.
5. Beside that, from the journals Applied Linguistics, there is no conclusive evidence that teachers are native speakers produce more competent students or vice versa.

my first experience in learning english

When I was in first grade in junior high school, there I got my experience in learning English at the first time. Mr Wahyu is my first English teacher. Firstly he asked me and my friends to introduce ourselves in English. And sometime he given some question. Mr Wahyu is a nice man and funny. He often told a funny story. I never bored to listen and follow his class. So do my friends. He had a way to punished us when we came late. He asked the student to sang a song.

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu penentu daya saing bangsa, dengan demikian, perlu peningkatan mutu yang berkelanjutan. SBI merupakan sekolah nasional yang menyiapkan siswa berbasis SNP berkualitas dan lulusannya berdaya saing internasional. Munculnya SBI didasari oleh kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap pendidikan yang lebih baik, karena pendidikan yang telah ada selama ini dianggap masih kurang begitu baik. Untuk menjalankan proses pembelajaran sebagaimana fungsinya yang berstandar internasional maka wajar bila SBI membutuhkan biaya pendidikan yang tinggi. Tapi apakah biaya tinggi ini dapat menjamin meningkatnya kualitas pendidikan?
Untuk masuk SBI harus melalui proses seleksi yang ketat. Baik dari segi kemampuan maupun biaya. Dari sini kita mengetahui bahwa calon siswa SBI sejak awal adalah siswa dengan kemampuan intelegensi yang baik, artinya SBI berinput awal baik, didukung dengan pembiayaan banyak (mahal), maka wajar dan menjadi hal biasa bila SBI menghasilkan output siswa yang baik.
Justru yang luar biasa adalah jika ada sekolah (negeri/swasta) yang input siswanya pas-pasan atau bahkan di bawah standar, didukung dengan pembiayaan yang pas-pasan pula, tetapi dapat meningkatkan prestasi siswa dengan cemerlang (outputnya tinggi), itulah sekolah unggul. Sekolah yang mampu membuat suatu “loncatan mutu” tinggi adalah sekolah unggul.
Memang tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan kita perlu memenuhi faktor-faktor penunjang pendidikan itu sendiri. Baik faktor perangkat keras (ruang belajar, laboratorium, perpustakaan), perangkat lunak (sistem pembelajaran, kurikulum, manajemen sekolah), maupun perangkat pikir (tenaga pendidik). Tapi kita juga harus ingat bahwa faktor yang paling dominan adalah tenaga pendidik sebagai aplikator keseluruhan faktor-faktor penunjang dalam proses belajar mengajar di kelas.
